Sergeenko's order from 2013 allows Mikheil Saakashvili to leave prison

Muscle atrophy, the basis for a prisoner's release from prison - the corresponding decree came into force in 2013, when Minister of Health Davit Sergeenko was in office. The decree stated that the diagnosis of M62 was a serious disease and that the prisoner should be released from prison because of it. This was the diagnosis given to the third president by representatives of the ombudsman's expert group.

Georgian Dream has no answer as to whether this decree will be extended to the third president.

"The opinion of the medical advisory board was on two issues, one on protein, one on psychological services, for both of these, the prisoner is opposed to receiving appropriate treatment to remedy his condition. The diagnosis made by the board on this is not the only one," said MP Gia Volski.
