The emergency statement and action plan of Mikheil Saakashvili's family

The brothers of Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, held an emergency briefing and presented a plan of action.

They say they want to meet with the Patriarch of Georgia in the next few days about the sharp deterioration of Mikheil Saakashvili's health. They are also going to meet with doctors and representatives of non-governmental organizations, after which they proclaim will hold continuous protests.

They say that rallies will take place all over the country - they will join the rally scheduled for May 6 in Batumi. The specific plan and dates will be announced in the coming days.

Mikheil Saakashvili's family explains that they are not asking for a pardon for the third president, but only for the postponement of his sentence and his transfer for treatment abroad.
