"If they don't let us in, there will be a legal response" - "Empathy" experts will go to Rustavi prison today

Doctors, members of the Alternative Compassion, will visit the 12th Prison in Rustavi this afternoon to see the third president. A request to that effect will be sent to the agency.

Mariam Jishkariani, head of Empathy, says the letters that will be sent to the penitentiary will also be sent to embassies and diplomatic missions in Georgia.

"According to Georgian law, the examination does not require any consent. And we have decided, a group of experts, to go to the 12th detention facility and demand a meeting with inmate Mikheil Saakashvili, because he has the full right to do so. If they do not allow us in, they will receive an appropriate legal response. We will send the same letters that we will send to the Ministry of Justice , and those that we sent on December 30, to all embassies and international organizations to make the actions of the Ministry of Justice transparent," said Mariam Jishkariani.

Dr. Lali Javashvili says that in the next few hours irreversible events could develop, which would lead to tragic consequences.
