"Come to me not as a politician, but as you would to a patient" | Mikheil Saakashvili's Address to Khundadze and Sergeenko

Published:

"Come to me not as a politician, but as a patient," Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, appeals to MPs and urges them to visit him in prison to see for themselves his health.

I appeal to Davit Sergeenko, Dimitri Khundadze and all other MPs from any party who have taken the Hippocratic Oath. Come to me not as a politician, but as you would to a patient, and make a conclusion as you would with a patient.

I will be very grateful if you do so, you will be received and welcomed as doctors, not politicians, my opponents or supporters. I'm not going to have any political discussions. We will talk only about my own symptoms and only about the possibility of being examined and receiving an objective opinion about my medical condition.

You are also invited to make public statements after entering and to have a public debate as an MP on this issue.

I hope for your humanee approaches, your professional honesty and your professional fidelity to the Hippocratic Oath!" - Mikhail Saakashvili writes.
