"Never appeal for Salome Zurabishvili, the so-called president, about me... it would be my humiliation" - Nika Gvaramia to supporters

In his closing remarks at the Tbilisi City Court, Mtavari Channel CEO Nika Gvaramia appealed to his friends and supporters.

Nika Gvaramia urged them to never appeal to President Salome Zurabishvili for anything about him:

"I want to appeal to all my supporters, friends and so on - never, ever plea for Salome Zurabishvili, the so called President about me. I categorically demand this. If you do that, it will be my humiliation, not liberation, but an enslavement; For an unfree man cannot give freedom to a freedom fighter; For the person who says Georgia started the war and we bombed a sleeping Tskhinvali, a Georgian patriot needs nothing from such a person; For the person who watches the death of the founder of modern Georgia, the third president, and cries out, not now, or ever!, to this person, none of you should should even speak in her direction, not now, or ever! That's my position, quoting her," Nika Gvaramia said at the trial.

For reference, the final trial of the Rustavi 2 case took place at Tbilisi City Court. The judge said that they would announce the decision in a few days.
