"The tension between Ukraine and Georgia is a personal tragedy for me... I will do my best to solve the problems," Georgia's third president Mikheil Saakashvili wrote in a statement released from the Viva Med Clinic.

Ukraine and Georgia are both my countries and any tension between them is like a personal tragedy for me. That's why I will do my best to eliminate the problems.

Ukraine now needs to win as quickly as possible, which we are all sure of, and we need further strong development.

Georgia needs peace as well as rapid development with Ukraine. There is simply no alternative to support and progress," Mikheil Saakashvili wrote.
