Dimitri Sadzaglishvili, lawyer of the CEO of the Mtavari Channel, Nika Gvaramia, says the ruling will be challenged, although in this case no other decision is expected.
According to the lawyer, Nika Gvaramia was found guilty of "causing damage" to the company, despite the fact that during his tenure Rustavi 2 was the most successful company in terms of both advertising revenue and television ratings.
"A legal assessment makes no sense, and I'm not going to do that. The only thing I want to say to the people of Georgia is if anyone thinks that applying to the EU and our integration with the West depends on what question the Georgian Dream answered, they are wrong. Today we saw a choice made by the government, a pretty obvious choice in favor of Russia. Our collaborationist government chose the Russian side in the global war that is now going on against Russia," said Dimitri Sadzaglishvili.
According to him, this story should worry all citizens, because it doesn't matter whether someone likes Nika Gvaramia or not.
