The arrest of Nika Gvaramia does not give us the right to mourn - Nika Melia

Nika Melia, chairman of the United National Movement, believes that those who develop negative processes on the opposition platform must be defeated on the way to defeating Bidzina Ivanishvili as a Russian oligarch.

According to him, the arrest of Nika Gvaramia does not give the opposition a reason to mourn. Melia says they are fighting a man who has taken over the state and established a classic autocratic regime.

"On this way, on the way to defeating the oligarch, more severe and harmful, than the  actions of the oligarch are the actions of the people who seem to be not on Bidzina Ivanishvili's side but on ours, but still secretely serve his interests, who criticize Nika Gvaramia by saying that he is connected or aligned to some people, that he did this or that, and strengthened the regime. A group of people who develop negative processes on the platform of the opposition and position themselves as supporters of democracy should be excluded. The arrest of Nika Gvaramia today does not give us the right to mourn," said Nika Melia.

He said he had expectations that Nika Gvaramia would be arrested, and even now he thinks he may not be the last political prisoner.
