R2's advertising revenue was over 35 million in Nika Gvaramia's time, 14 million in Kibar Khalvashi's time - Sadzaglishvili

Nika Gvaramia will be visited by his lawyer in Rustavi. According to Dito Sadzaglishvili, he will talk to Nika Gvaramia about the statements made by the Georgian Dream chairman.

Sadzaglishvili also spoke about the details of Nika Gvaramia's case and said the accusation is illegal. According to the lawyer, if anyone has harmed Rustavi 2 television, it is the government represented by Kibar Khalvashi.

"Talking about embezzlement is absolutely absurd. I can make a very simple comparison - in 2015, during Nika Gvaramia's time, the advertising income of Rustavi 2 was more than 35 million GEL. In 2020, when the company was in the hands of Kibar Halvashi, Rustavi 2 had only GEL 14 million in advertising revenue. Obviously, if anyone has damaged and destroyed R2 TV, it is the government with the hands of Kibar Khalvashi," said Dito Sadzaglishvili.

As for Kibar Halvashi's request, Sadzaglishvili said he did not rule out a new lawsuit against Niki Gvaramia.

"We are not surprised by Kibar Khalvashi's and the authorities' statements, which go hand in hand. Kibar Khalvashi is  tool in the hands of the authorities to write complaints, either in the prosecutor's office or to the court," he said.
