Derek Chollet started his official visit to Georgia by meeting with non-governmental organizations. The system of political justice used by the government against its opponents, the persecution of media managers and the threat to freedom of speech in the country are the main topics the NGO representatives discussed with the US high-ranking official.

"Georgian Dream" claims that judicial reforms were once underway in Europe and the U.S., and that no one has thought to replace the judicial system with the views of representatives of other countries, or the views of NGOs and the Public Defender in those countries.
