Recruits took the military oath in Tbilisi and five regions of Georgia.

The swearing-in ceremony took place:

• In Tbilisi - on Liberty Square;
• In Kvemo Kartli - near the town of Dmanisi;
• In Kakheti - near the Cholokashvili family fortress;
• In Khevsureti - near Gudani cross;
• In Guria - near the Shemoqmedi Monastery;
• In Poti.

Today, May 26, Georgia celebrates Independence Day. On this day in 1918, the National Council under the leadership of Noah Jordan passed the Independence Act.
