Archil Talakvadze, a member of the Georgian Dream, claims that Georgia is adhering to the international sanctions.
The ruling team says Macron's statement about sanctions imposed against Russia is incomprehensible to them, and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili does not comment on the issue and avoids questions.
"Georgia is a part of the international sanctions! It is!... it is!... Georgia is a part of the international sanctions. Why are you asking me for an answer [to Macron's statement]?" said Talakvadze.
French President Emmanuel Macron wishes Georgia a happy Independence Day. He wrote a letter to President Salome Zurabishvili. The letter states that during the war in Ukraine, it is important for Georgia to support the European sanctions policy and prevent Russia's attempt to circumvent the current sanctions regime.
