If "Rustavi 2" does not pay compensation, the dispute will continue in the London Arbitration Court - Muradashvili

Nika Gvaramia, CEO of the Mtavari Channel, was visited by lawyer Tamta Muradashvili in the 12th penitentiary institution in Rustavi.

Muradashvili spoke about the compensation requested by Nika Gvaramia from Rustavi 2 and said that if they do not receive a proper answer, the dispute will continue in the British Arbitration Court.

"The dispute will not continue in the court ruled by the clan, but in the British Arbitration Court in London, because according to the agreement, in the event of such a dispute, the relevant jurisdiction and court should have been in Britain, so if Rustavi 2 does not pay, the dispute will move abroad." - says Tamta Muradashvili.

We remind you that Nika Gvaramia is asking for compensation - we are talking about 5 million dollars. According to lawyer Dito Sadzaglishvili, Kibar Khalvashi grossly violated the employment contract by dismissing Nika Gvaramia from the post of director of Rustavi 2. In particular, the term limits were violated - according to the contract, his dismissal was prohibited until December 31, 2020, and Khalvashi fired Nika Gvaramia in 2019, as soon as he took over the TV station.
