"Mr. Kubilius and Mrs. I do not remember the last name are going too far" - Tsulukiani on the MEPs

Minister of Culture Tea Tsulukiani considers the letter of MEPs Andrius Kubilius and Rasa Juknevičienė as an attack on the government.

According to the Minister, insulting remarks of Kubilius are tried to be ignored. Tsulukiani's comment is published by the Public Broadcaster.

"Mr. Kubilius and Mrs. I do not remember the last name, they are going too far and in fact are directly attacking the government elected by the people. They are directly and aggressively interfering in internal affairs of our country and it's as if Mr. Kubilius and the other woman don't care who the Georgian people are and what the Georgian people think. So I think that my opinion in this case is not as interesting as Georgians opinion. Here are Georgians and ask them what they think - it is good when Kubilius is telling us what to do, who we should elect to government, nobody gave him a right to do that, our government is elected in elections, it is trusted by majority of voters, hence it is a political force that came to power through democratic elections.
Any attack on a democratically led political force is an attack on the people, an attack on the state and the country. Consequently, the choice made by Mr. Kubilius is an affront to the Georgian people, who have shed so much blood on their European journey, made so many sacrifices and are awaiting the verdict with great patience. The verdict must be, in our opinion, yes, the Georgian people deserve the status of candidate. We are waiting with great patience for the EU to decide what the verdict will be. In this waiting we are trying to ignore offensive statements against the Georgian people and our state," said Tea Tsulukiani.
