Nika Gvaramia is supported by Belarusian opposition leaders, including former political prisoners. They also recorded a video message expressing solidarity with the CEO of the Mtavari Channel.
The video was shot in Vilnius, where National Movement and Droa leaders Khatia Dekanoidze and Elene Khoshtariya are also present.
"Dear Nika, As a former political prisoner, I wish you fortitude. Do not give up. I know we are doing the right thing and we will definitely win. Georgia will become a civilized, united, peaceful and European country. We are thinking and remembering you- Nikolay Kozlov - Party Leader; Former Political Prisoner
"Nika, freedom is in the heart and it must be awaited. Freedom is destined for our country and for us personally. I am sure of that. The main thing is not to give up and to be strong. See you soon' - Vadim Saranchuk.
Nika, on behalf of the Green Party of Belarus I would like to wish you freedom. Your struggle is a model for the Belarusian media and for the Belarusian politicians. What you are doing in Georgia and the topics you speak about are also important for Belarus, so I will say that you are fighting. We express solidarity and we will fight for freedom of Belarus and Georgia," - Dzmitry Kuchuk, leader of the Green Party of Belarus.
Belarus and Georgia deserve better. I mean a better European future. The biggest step away from freedom is when media representatives are arrested, the fight against journalists is a mistake and it shows once again that there are problems in the country. I was in prison a few times during the Soviet era, so I know very well that such people come out of prison even stronger. If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to be strong, go with a team. That's why we propose Georgia and Belarus to go together to Europe, to a Europe where there will be no political prisoners and where all people will be free," said Anatoliy Lebedko, leader of the United Civil Party of Belarus.
