The truth is on the side of Georgian, neither Nika Gvaramia is free media, nor Mikheil Saakashvili a beacon of democracy - this is how the "Dream" MP Archil Talakvadze responds to the European Parliaments critical resolution on political interference in the judiciary and the media.
According to Talakvadze, Mikheil Saakashvili and Nika Gvaramia are charged with full compliance with the law:
"The truth is on the Georgian side, neither Nika Gvaramia is free media nor Mikheil Saakashvili a beacon of democracy. These people have been held accountable in full compliance with the law, so of course we believe that this resolution is absolutely out of touch with reality," Archil Talakvadze says.
For reference, there are 6 critical draft resolutions registered in the European Parliament with regard to Georgia. All versions of the resolution condemn political interference in the judiciary and media.
