The Georgian Dream's first response to the European Parliament was a statement at a special briefing by party chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, who called MEPs "victims of fakes":
The campaign that has been going on since 2012 to protect criminals and bring these criminals back to power has reached one of the highest institutions of the European Union, the European Parliament, which is very sad and disturbing. It is extremely disturbing when one of the most important institution of the European Union have become victims of the worst disease in the world, fakes. " Said Kobakhidze.
To remind, the European Parliament resolution on the state of media in Georgia has been changed, according to which the MEPs demand the introduction of individual sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili.
