According to Elene Khoshtaria, leader of the Droa party, the resolution passed by the European Parliament regarding Georgia is the most important one.
According to Khoshtaria, the document recognizes the will of the Georgian people to become a member of Europe and at the same time points to the dire consequences of oligarchic rule.
According to him, the main task today is to destroy the oligarchic pyramid on which the government of Bidzina Ivanishvili stands.
"It is explicitly stated that Bidzina Ivanishvili has a destructive and crippling role in both politics and economics, and his business ties with the Kremlin are alarming. So our task today is to destroy the oligarchic pyramid, the network on which this oligarchic power stands. We are going to work with partners and identify the pillar of the oligarchic pyramid through which Bidzina Ivanishvili manages to damage the interests of our country," Khoshtaria said.
Droa leader named the businessmen, who together with Bidzina Ivanishvili must be included in the list of those sanctioned. According to Khoshtaria, the information about these people will be collected as much as possible and transferred to the partners in order to overthrow the oligarchic system in Georgia.
"Today I would like to list the first group of so-called businessmen who, in fact, are oligarchs with their Russian connections, without whom Bidzina Ivanishvili would not be able to perform his destructive tasks. The list of sanctions should also include:
Davit Khidasheli - a man who has recently enjoyed great political and economic advantages in Georgia, has been involved in a number of Russian special operations, is directly close to Kremlins Yevtushenko, who recently called Bidzina Ivanishvili and talked about business deals.
Ucha Mamatsashvili - In addition to being a de facto shadow ruler of the economy, controlling critical infrastructure, he is, along with Bidzina Ivanishvili, a business partner of Poltarchenko, who is under sanctions. He is the former mayor of St. Petersburg, a man close to the Kremlin.
Vano Chkhartishvili - implicated in a number of corrupt deals, including in the tobacco sector, is an open partner of the Russian state company Rosneft in Poti. Rosneft owns 49% in his company.
Otar Partskhaladze is a well-known, almost Mafia-like "businessman" who, in addition to being involved in corruption schemes, controls the prosecutor's office and the financial police.
"Irakli Rukhadze - in addition to controlling the banking sector and government propaganda media, namely Imedi, GDS and Maestro, he openly opposes sanctions against Russia, including the banking sector, and is one of the hybrid oligarchic rulers," said Elene Khoshtaria.
