The European Commission has not recommended granting Georgia EU candidate status

The European Commission's decision is known - according to Ursula von der Leyen, they give Georgia a recommendation to the European perspective:

"As for Georgia. Georgia has the same ambitions as Ukraine and Moldova, in order for them to succeed, the country has to unite politically, and for that it needs to implement reforms and involve civil society in these reforms. So we recommend Georgia, a European perspective, and we will see how it implements the recommendation to reconsider granting Georgia status," Ursula von der leyen said.

The European Commission recommended granting candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova.
