Davit Arakhamia was demanding for Georgia not to receive the status of candidate - Gharibashvili

After the Georgian opposition, Irakli Garibashvili has accused the Ukrainian government of acting against Georgia. The Prime Minister of Georgia states that the Chairman of the Rada faction David Arahamia demanded for Georgia not to be granted the status of an EU candidate country:

One of the main initiators and their partner in Europe, America, I know from our American and European colleagues who insisted on not granting Georgia candidacy, along with you, dear opponents, was Mr. Arahamia, a representative of the Ukrainian government, who is your friend. And in practice, Europe was given the ultimatum that if Georgia got candidate status, they would be very disappointed. We publicly heard that Mr. Arahamia, the bearer of the Georgian name, is making shameful accusations," Irakli Garibashvili said, speaking from the parliamentary rostrum.
