Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili reiterates that if anyone deserves the status of an EU candidate country, it is Georgia. In his opinion, the decision against Georgia was unfair.
Garibashvili repeats that he is jealous of no one's success.
"These days we realize that these are pretty emotional days, and I want to share my view with you again. I've also spoken publicly about it and publicly expressed my heartache. One of the lets say, explicit arguments of our country, Georgia and why we deserved better and such treatment should not have been and was unfair, are just the facts that I have listed - our blood, our struggle, our war. We fought the Russian army three times, since the country regained its independence, as you showed in 2008, our army has shown exemplary heroism. We are not comparing ourselves to anyone's army, but the Georgians came with two main forces, our belief, our faith, our church and our army, our people, our warrior spirit.
Today they are being questioned and, unfortunately, I certainly don't envy anyone's successes. On the contrary, I am happy for the successes of Ukrainians, Moldovans and everyone, but Georgia deserved more, and if anyone deserved in this trio of countries, we deserved it," said Garibashvili.
According to him, there are very complicated processes going on in the world and we have to react to this calmly.
