The candidate subject was a "moustrap," in which the government was lured in - The statement of the former Dream members

Published:

The 3 MPs who left the Georgian Dream yesterday issued a statement and explained the reasons why they left the team. Dimitri Khundadze, Sozar Subari and Mikheil Kavelashvili say that public statements on certain topics would make the ruling team uncomfortable, so they have to leave party, factional and parliamentary positions.

The MPs say that everything should be called by its proper names and for this purpose they will gradually inform the public about the events that are "developing behind the scenes of Georgian politics."

See the statement in full:

Over the past few days we have had serious discussions with party leaders and members of the parliamentary majority about the political processes taking place. Our and other leaders' and team members' assessments of the events fully coincide. However, we cannot agree on only one thing - to what extent we must tell the truth to the public.

Of course, we largely understand our colleagues who say that restraint is needed when disclosing information about political processes. However, today is the moment when we need to provide the public with much more information about what is going on behind the scenes in Georgian politics. The fate of the state and the people is at stake, not the government or any of us. Therefore, it is time to entrust the defense of ourselves and the country directly to the people.

There are great forces who want a revolution in Georgia to change the government elected by the people and replace it with people who are directly responsible for numerous crimes committed between 2004 and 2012.

For this purpose, a meeting of the National Movement and its media and satellites was held in Bakuriani, where Peter Ackerman, a well-known expert on revolutions, was specially brought from the United States.

For this purpose, the topic of the candidate for EU membership was also introduced. It is clear that EU membership is absolutely irrelevant to Ukraine today. Because of Russian military aggression, the country is in flames, the country is destroyed, hundreds of people die every day, and in such a case, the candidate status of this country naturally cannot be even a small consolation. The same applies to Moldova, which directly borders on the conflict zone, is home to hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees, and is experiencing serious economic problems. The only thing required for the candidate subject was to aggravate the political background of the Georgian government and artificially create a revolutionary charge.

The candidate issue was a kind of "mousetrap" in which the Georgian government was lured. Salome Zurabishvili, who was sent back from Brussels with a gift on the subject, was initially involved. According to initial calculations, Zurabishvili was to make a statement about the candidacy application to the parliament. Because of this, she even dared to announce a meeting of the parliament in violation of the Constitution. However, the team acted correctly and prevented this scenario. After that, the National Movement and its satellites developed and launched a campaign for it, after which the government decided on the application in a completely rational way.

Participants of the meeting in Bakuriani knew in advance, and it should not have been difficult for a person with discernment to guess, that Ukraine and Moldova would get candidate status, and Georgia would be left without status, and this expectation was fully justified.

After the EU decision, events unfolded exactly as the team predicted. The participants in the Bakurian rally immediately came out and demanded the resignation of the government.

The Revolutionary Committee of the National Movement constantly talks about two terms: de-oligarchization and depolarization. Recall that these two terms were first written in the European Parliament resolution, and later transferred to the conclusion of the European Commission.

These terms are easily translated by them: deoligarization means removing Bidzina Ivanishvili from Georgia, and depolarization means releasing Saakashvili and Gvaramia from jail.

Two alternative scenarios for the revolution were developed: a short-term scenario and a relatively long-term one.

The short-term scenario was based on a European Parliament resolution. According to the well-known resolution and statements by MEPs, the Georgian government was brutally insulted and there was an attempt to create an emotional background among the population. However, the short-term scenario failed, and the revolution did not take place at the first attempt.

The second scenario was based on the EU's decision on candidate status. By refusing to the candidate status, they created a certain emotional backdrop, which, in their opinion, should be followed by what they called the only goal of the reforms - to change the government and take over the Georgian court.

One of the MEPs, Mikhail Gahler, was even told that the parties should prepare for a new political agreement. In other words, they have to take us out of the constitutional framework again and sign a political agreement, based on which two criminals must be released from jail and Bidzina Ivanishvili must leave the country. They want to undermine our constitutional order and deprive us of statehood, which can by no means be allowed. You cannot sit at the negotiation table with people who do not recognize the state, the government, or any state institution.

The same Gahler also said that if Ivanishvili is a patriot, he must leave the country. This phrase of the Gahler clearly shows their spirit and main goal: patriots, people who love Georgia must leave the country and the reins of the country must remain to the unpatriotic, the nationless and the godless.

This is what the nationless and the godless want, because they will sign any deal. Most importantly, they will blindly start a war, which is the main goal of this whole scenario. That is why Zelensky and Arahamia were the heroes of the revolutionary rally, which was also part of Ackerman's scenario.

It is a fact that Georgia is only needed militarily, and the Georgian people are considered cannon fodder. You understand very well that neither Irakli Garibashvili will sacrifice the country and the people for a fatal war, nor will Bidzina Ivanishvili ask him to do so. That's why they need a government who can bring the country down without any problems. Such are the leaders of the National Movement and its affiliated NGOs or TV hosts.

We can see that as soon as the useless candidate status was given to Moldova, they made a statement about the introduction of sanctions against Russia. The impression is that Moldova was given this ultimatum in advance and condemned the country, in exchange for almost nothing, at least unbearable economic problems.

When 300 MEPs sign the absurd resolution, the overall picture and purpose is as clear as day. No one will grant candidate status to Georgia during the 6 months unless unless we participate in the war or impose sanctions against Russia, which is also a direct path to war. The totally unprecedented 6-month period is also devised to keep the unrest of a part of the society in the country intact. Ukraine and Moldova, as Viola von Kramon and the Latvian foreign minister say, if they are allowed in the 30-year waiting room, they will not let us in even that in order to keep the long-term revolutionary scenario relevant.

We believe that everything should be called by its proper names. To do this, we will gradually provide the public with information about the events taking place behind the scenes of Georgian politics. Of course, on some level we will take care of some things too, and we will disclose this information in doses.

Our main goal is to prevent the scenario which must lead Georgia to the unrest, war and Russian military occupation. Georgia will not be able to withstand more unrest and war. So we have to act with high responsibility before our country and people.

In addition, our main goal is to prevent the implementation of the plan that aims to create artificial obstacles to Georgia's European integration. If the society is not equipped with the necessary truth, it will become part of the scenario of unrest and war, which will make the integration of Georgia into the European Union impossible forever. We must arm the society with the truth so that it becomes the guarantor of Georgia's European future.

We understand that speaking publicly on certain topics on our part will make the leadership uncomfortable. Therefore, we have to get out of party, factional and parliamentary positions and act independently. However, we remain supporters of the Georgian Dream and will help the team in everything we can do for the good of the country and the people.
