Public Officials and Alt Info opposed Home to Europe Campaign Participants in Telavi

"Dream" gathered public officials in Telavi to oppose the participants of the "Home to Europe" information campaign. Representatives of the People's Movement have been campaigning in support of European integration among the population, and the government has been opposing their party for the second day already. Buka Petriashvili arrived in Telavi today to meet with the population and talk about  the benefits of Europe, but in addition to the supporters of the Dream, he was also opposed by representatives of Alt Info.

The meeting planned at the Telavi Historical Museum failed.

 Telavi City Council members, Alt Info representatives and Georgian Dream supporters made a live chain at the museum gate and did not allow the movement to enter.

According to them, the reason for the protest is the humiliating statement made about King Erekle, thus insulting Kakhetians and Georgia as a whole.

Later, members of the People's Movement gathered in the square a few hundred meters from the museum and held an informative meeting with the young people. According to them, the resistance is a campaign planned by the Georgian Dream and has nothing to do with the European course.
