Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili says the opposition and NGOs are using the European Commission's document to deepen polarization

Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili says the opposition and NGOs are using the European Commission's document to deepen polarization. Papuashvili is responding to the consultation of the opposition, where they have gathered to discuss the implementation of 12 points of the European Commission.

According to Papuashvili, such a gathering of the opposition will not bring anything.

The first thing that the opposition and certain non-governmental organizations did was to take this document and use it to deepen polarization. Such wrong understanding of what it means to be European, Georgia's European aspiration, and EU's attitude towards us shows that the only thing behind this can be to somehow discredit the process related to the implementation of these recommendations.

They cannot learn from their mistakes, such an alliance will bring them nothing, except that the National Movement will parasitize on their voters, take their votes, and they will be left in this situation as usual," says Shalva Papuashvili.
