"It is very important and a very good feeling that justice seems to be trying to celebrate in some way"- Nata Peradze on being declared a victim in the so called "recordings" case

Published:

"It is very important and a very good feeling that justice seems to be trying to celebrate in some way", - this is how Nata Feradze, the founder of "Partisan Gardening", responds to the so-called Granting him the status of a victim in the Krebs case.

As Peradze mentioned, there are many people in this case who should also be declared victims.

"There are a lot of people who were in these recordings, and probably all of them should be granted the status of victims. We still don't know how many recordings have not been released. They have only released the folder related to the church. This is a necessary condition for a democratic country," said Natia Feradze.

Lawyer of GYLA Jano Chkadua recalls that the status of the victim was repeatedly requested from the prosecutor, the higher prosecutor and the court, although the status was granted only after the suit was sent to Strasbourg.

"Before going to the European Court of Human Rights, we asked the prosecutor's office to recognize us as victims, and we were denied. Then we appealed to higher prosecutor's office and also to court, although in every subsequent instance we were refused. After we applied to the European Court of Human Rights, a few days later Ms. Nata Peradze was informed that today she was summoned to prosecutor's office to be recognized as a victim in connection with the ongoing criminal case," - the lawyer said.

Journalist of Formula TV Tamar Chikhladze is also expecting the status of victim:

"We are already waiting for the whole case to go to Strasbourg and are working on it. It is important for Nata Peradze to be at least recognized as a victim. I think all this should be extended to me as well. I have no home in the national judicial procedure so that is why all this is going to Strasbourg. " - he said.

We would like to remind you that as a result of international pressure, the prosecutor's office called Nata Peradze the first victim in the so called recordings case. In connection with this, she was summoned to the investigating body today at 14:00.
