"Demonstrations are held in all countries, but these demonstrations, as well as other demonstrations, ended without results," says Prime Minister Gharibashvili at the joint briefing held after the meeting with the Chancellor of Austria, answering a question posed by a foreign journalist.
The media was interested in the attitude of the head of the government to the ongoing protests in the country.
Gharibashvili spoke about the merits of the "dream".
"I want to tell the author of the question that we invite them to Georgia, you probably have not been to Tbilisi and do not know what is really happening in Georgia... We have changed the situation dramatically in the last 10 years. We inherited an authoritarian, dictatorial regime, and today Georgia has become one of the prominent examples of democracy not only in the region, but we can proudly and boldly say that we are a truly outstanding country not only among the Eastern Partnership countries, but also within the associated trio. In addition, we have really impressive progress with many European countries.
As for the question related to demonstrations, holding demonstrations is characteristic of any democracy. Demonstrations are held in all countries, but I want to tell you that these demonstrations, like others, ended in vain. The government is stable, solid, strong and we continue to advance the country," says Gharibashvili.
Gharibashvili is on an official visit to Vienna at the invitation of the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer and will hold meetings.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili and Head of Government Administration Revaz Javelidze are with him in the delegation.
