The 8 March agreement must be fully implemented, and the use of judiciary for political purposes must stop - a joint statement by opposition parties has recently been released.
Political parties say that the amendments to the constitution on the electoral system are the result of the assistance of international friends and the strong will of the Georgian people. The statement stresses that entering the electoral process having political prisoners is not acceptable.
The 8 March agreement was not implemented, everybody sees it well, both inside and outside, our international partners still continue to make serious statements against the Dream and Ivanishvili," says Roman Gotsiridze, a member of the political council of the United National Movement.
Giorgi Kandelaki, a representative of European Georgia, says the opposition will not forget the March 8 agreement.
"We do not expect the Georgian Dream to "call Giorgi Rurua a political prisoner, there is just a very simple way to close this page and we will move forward" - said Kandelaki.
The ruling party reiterates that there are no political prisoners in the country.
'Political justice in the country was during their rule, and the releases, arrests, torture and deaths of some people were paramount. Now is no longer like that, the court will decide whether Georgy Rurua is guilty or not," said Gia Volsky, deputy speaker of parliament.
It should be noted that Georgia's international partners have a different opinion. Jim Risch, Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, welcomed the constitutional changes in Georgia, but wrote that he expects the March 8 agreement to be fully implemented.
