Europe behaved very shamefully, treacherously - Reverend Jacob

Bishop Jacob of Bodbe responded to the anti-Western statements of the government and stated that they were "thus expressing their grievance against Europe."

Rev. Jacob himself continued his anti-European rhetoric and stated that Europe has betrayed Georgia:

"They seem to have a grievance in their hearts, and they are expressing it. Europe has behaved very shamefully and treacherously. I say this about the European Parliament. Now, when they refuse to have a parliamentary debate, from the 308 respected parliamentarians 10 of them would come out and write a joint letter and say that maybe you should sit down together and take care, calm the situation down. From my point of view, they didn't want to accept anyone but Ukraine, here they just used this topic to raise the political temperature," Jacob said in his commentary after the sermon ended.
