Mamuka Mdinaradze claims they have a "special relationship" with the Ivanishvili family. At the end of the day, Mdinaradze also joined his fellow party members' campaign to save the oligarch and wrote a Facebook post. He wrote:
"Yes, we have a special attitude towards Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family. It would be surprising if it were otherwise.
Leaving aside attitude, in the unprecedented information war that is being waged separately against Ivanishvili and separately against Georgia, the victory of truth is crucial, for it is impossible and unacceptable to see the philanthropist become a misanthropist and oligarch, good become evil, democracy become authoritarianism, perspective become hopelessness, successful Georgian state become a tumultuous one, the strong and proud Georgian army to a dead one.
Assuming theoretically-if they succeeded, how do we defend the truth in other current, everyday topics!
You can not have the idea that the Georgian people can't tell these things apart, or don't appreciate what is valuable, and so easily fall prey to completely immoral fake propaganda!
Fortunately, every time the Georgian society proves that it stands where there is truth, goodness, concern for the homeland, faith and a decent, free, just and European future for this country!", writes the Georgian Dream MP.
