Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament, Vice-President of the "European People's Party" David McAllister announces that a delegation of MEPs will arrive in Georgia next week - "We are going to come to Georgia next week".
He spoke on this topic at the discussion of another critical resolution draft on Georgia in the European Parliament. According to his own statement, the European Parliament will return to the consideration and voting of the draft resolution in September.
"Thank you very much to all my colleagues and the commission that participated in the discussion of this resolution. I am not going to discuss this resolution in detail. We will have the opportunity to do so when we meet the speakers on Georgia, while we prepare a report on the European aspirations of Georgia. We expect that the Georgian government I will deliver the results we expect from them," says Sven Mikser, who presented the annual report prepared on the implementation of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union.
Sven Mikser mentioned that if all twelve points requested by the European Union are fulfilled, they will support granting us candidate status.
