The lawyer of Georgia's third president, Shota Tutberidze, accuses the chairman of parliament of lying.
It is about the statement of Shalva Papuashvili, where he said: "The Strasbourg Court found that Mikheil Saakashvili will be provided with all the necessary medical services."
The lawyer says that the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has found nothing of the kind.
"What Strasbourg did as a result of one of the first defense complaints was to order the authorities to provide proper medical treatment to Mikheil Saakashvili. Such dishonesty and blatant lying on the part of Mr. Papuashvili, an official of this level, simply means that he has lost the ability to analyze simple facts. He is lost and in agony, or he is simply trying to mislead the public. At no stage of the Strasbourg Court has denied the request of the defense, and it certainly has not established that Mikheil Saakashvili is in a proper state," says Shota Tutberidze.
