We are interested in the position of the US Embassy, what we heard is unacceptable - Macharashvili demands an answer

 Regarding the confession of Judge Lasha Chkhikvadze, Guram Macharashvili states that he is interested in the position of the US Embassy and that this fact, according to him, is an interference in justice:

"Of course, we are interested in the position of the United States Embassy on this matter. We have implemented many reforms, including with the help of strategic partners, but what we have heard is unacceptable, because the fact indicated in the judge's statement that the representative of the US embassy asked him for a report on a specific case is an interference in the work of justice - Said the Georgian Dream MP.

Macharashvili also calls the statement of MEP Michael Gahler in the case of Nika Gvaramia an interference in justice: 

We also heard MEP Gahler's appeal to the Court of Appeals to acquit Nika Gvaramia. It is interesting if he will turn to the court of his country and tell him what kind of decision to make. - said Guram Macharashvili.
