At a special briefing at the Orbelian Palace, President Salome Zurabishvili said she regretted the campaign launched against U.S. Ambassador Kelly Degnan.

"I very much regret the statements made against the American ambassador. I don't think it's the right form. If there is any evidence, the general rule of diplomacy should be a one-on-one conversation with the ambassador, not statements on television or in the media. Our friends are our friends, we have no other friends," Zurabishvili said.
