Carl Hartzell has played only a negative role in EU-Georgian relations - Kobakhidze

Western partners and ambassadors continue to be the main targets of attacks by the Georgian Dream. This time, the object of criticism from party chairman Irakli Kobakhidze was EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell.

Kobakhidze claims that Hartzell "has only played a negative role" in EU-Georgia relations.

"We avoided commenting on him throughout this period when he was the acting ambassador of the EU, for various reasons, including the fact that we had an application to the EU, it was an ongoing process and so on. But today when he is done with his mission we can safely say that Carl Hartzell has played only a negative role in relations between the EU and Georgia. This is a very sad event. We hope that the future ambassador will act differently," - Kobakhidze said.
