According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Shahid, chairman of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, will pay an official visit to Georgia. According to the agency, this is the first visit of the president of the UN General Assembly to Georgia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of the visit, the chairman of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly will hold meetings with the Georgian president, prime minister, speaker of the parliament and the foreign minister.
After the meeting with the Foreign Minister, the sides will make joint statements.
In addition to official meetings, the chairman of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly will visit the occupation line, visit the IDP settlement in the village of Tserovani and become familiar with the situation created as a result of the occupation.
Abdullah Shahid will also visit the UN representation in Georgia and hold meetings with representatives of non-governmental organizations participating in the UN program. He will also visit the House of Justice and visit Kakheti to learn about the economic and tourist potential of the region.
