Georgian Dream MP Rati Ionatamishvili justifies the attack on the journalist of the Mtavari Channel in support of Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze and calls it a premeditated and deliberate provocation.

According to him such provocations must be duly evaluated in order nobody would dare to do it again.

"The derogatory phrases uttered against the father and family does not equate to a question, it is a deliberate and purposeful provocation that has nothing to do with critical, objective or subjective journalism.

So, if a person is your primary target and you couldn't find anything against them for years, you should dare and insult a member of their family? Is this the right and commendable thing to do?

It is necessary that such provocations are accompanied by a proper assessment so that no one dares to do such a thing, otherwise perversity will become a norm: they say that a patriot is a traitor, an honest man is immoral, slander is truth, and" wrote Rati Ionatamishvili.
