"The topic that was practically hidden has been revealed"| Khundadze on Ivanishvili

"The question remains a question, but the main thing is that the topic that was practically hidden has been revealed," was the reaction of formet Georgian Dreams MP Dimitri Khundadze to the letter released today by the oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili.

He says Ivanishvili answered the main question that the country is really at risk of going to war.

"He answered not only the question of whether Kelly Degnan and Mr. Ivanishvili had a meeting, but he answered the main question that we talked about, that the country is really facing the risk of going to war." There are many things noted. For example, the Western course will not be revised, and this requires mutual caution. Also after these questions we have another question, if Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili had agreed to what was demanded of him, would he still be an oligarch? would an alternative technical government have been created? would the street scene have been so active?

Of course, that question is still a question, but the important thing is that the topic that was practically hidden, which is the biggest question mark for the country, is already revealed. There are risks, of course, though fewer. Public participation must necessarily rise to a high level. Let us arm ourselves with more truth, lest it fall prey to another weapon. This is the highest quality insurance mechanism for the security of the country and society.

All of the background, I mean the processes going on behind the scenes, were the factors that led us to the question of whether there was a meeting between them. The main content of our question was the risks that we talked about. This meeting confirmed not only that there was a meeting, but that these difficult topics were discussed there.

The details that we are still refraining from talking about, of course, fully confirm the fact that first these topics were discussed with the highest officials and they could not be reached, then an address was chosen and a meeting was scheduled with Ivanishvili. I am not the only one who thinks, the letter also reads that way. These risks are real. These risks are decreasing but they still exist. That is why we have to act and the main role in that action must be taken by society, which will make its choice and positioning itself based on truth alone," says Khundadze.
