A rescue helicopter that was supposed to help the victims of the paraglider crash, crashed in Gudauri. It is known that there were five people in the helicopter. Two of them were pilots and three rescuers.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms the crash of a rescue helicopter in Gudauri and makes a statement. Representative of the Ministry's Press Service Keti Kovziashvili writes:

The helicopter belonging to the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the help of which the rescue operation of the paragliders that fell in Gudauri was being carried out, lost control and crashed.

Apart from the crew members there were doctors and rescue workers of the emergency management service of the Interior Ministry on board the helicopter.

All the details of the incident are being clarified, and the Ministry will provide more information to the public," writes Keti Kovziashvili.
