There is reason to doubt that the "Dream" will try to sell the sanctioned Russian gold as if it was mined here

"The United National Movement" states that there are serious suspicions that the Georgian Dream is using the capabilities of RMG Gold to avoid painful financial problems for its Russian partners.

A briefing on the subject was held at the party office. According to Petre Tsiskarishvili, there is a reasonable suspicion that they are trying "to disguise the sanctioned Russian gold as the gold mined in Georgia and illegally re-export it through our country."

Tsiskarishvili spoke about the specific bid, which he said was for RMG Gold.

"They do not forget their main and only concern, corruption and making billions at the expense of the Georgian people, the Georgian state. All the more if the interests of the oligarch Ivanishvili are at stake.

We are talking about a new bid which will lead to the digging and demolition of seven villages, hundreds of hectares of land in the Bolnisi and Marneuli municipalities, distortion of our nature and deterioration of the ecological situation. The technical conditions of this bid are coordinated directly with RMG Gold, i.e. the company of Russians and Bidzina Ivanishvili. They announced a bid for exploration and extraction of minerals and symbolically made investment commitments here because they know very well that no one will count the amount of investment and the costs incurred in extraction of gold and copper [...] will be signed by RMG as an investment," says Tsiskarishvili.
