The Conclusion of the Venice Commission shows that the Georgian Dream government does not intend to fulfill 12 points of the European Commission - Dekanoidze

The conclusion of the Venice Commission states that the Georgian Dream government is not going to fulfill 12 points of the European Commission and ignores the recommendations of European structures, a statement made by one of the leaders of the Nationalist Party, Khatia Dekanoidze. According to his assessment, the steps that the Dream government seems to be taking to implement the recommendations are only imitation and serve to preserve their power.

"The conclusion of the Venice Commission points to several important issues:

"The Georgian Dream is not going to implement the 12 points - the process that is underway specifically to activate the parliamentary framework is imitative in nature;

"Georgian Dream" ignores the recommendations of representatives of European structures;

This legislative framework, which is an expression of the most repressive system in Georgia, means that the work on the recommendations of the European institutions of the Georgian Dream, including the 12 points, are only a deception of the public, and this is what the Venice Commission says, that the "Wiretap Bill" was passed in haste, requires both impact assessment and more detailed justification, which will not happen, because, as the majority representatives say, they intend to overcome the veto. Therefore, the most negative role in the most important 12-point process belongs to the Georgian government, which means that they continue their anti-Western campaign, do not take into account the recommendations, and this process, which should be inclusive, only serves to strengthen their power," said Khatia Dekanoidze.
