Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili explains the reasons why he is not participating in the international conference taking place in Tbilisi and says that he did not want to contribute to "normalization of radicalization" by his participation in the conference.

According to Papuashvili, the conference is attended by political groups with a radical agenda.

"Regarding my participation in this conference, here is one aspect, we saw among them at the beginning of this conference, there were comments, for example from "European Georgia", that it is again aimed at regime change and delegitimization of parliament. Unfortunately, at this conference, including on banners, the very political groups that have a radical agenda are represented, and I mentioned that radicalization is the main challenge in terms of our political agenda, and of course, I personally cannot encourage and normalize radicalization. to participate in a conference where radical groups are represented," said Papuashvili.
