There is no problem with the media, the independence of the court is diametrically high - Archil Talakvadze

Today, the Georgian Dream reacted to statements by EU High Representative Joseph Borel.

Archil Talakvadze claimed that the judicial system in Georgia today is independent. At the same time, Talakvadze accused the media and the opposition of spreading false information.

"The Prime Minister has shared exhaustive arguments with his European colleagues on this matter. There is no problem for the media when they broadcast content critical of the government. The independence of courts today is diametrically high; citizens find and seek confirmation of their truth in the Georgian judicial system much more often.

The radical opposition and media under their control have done everything over the years and they keep repeating every day that today courts are worse, media environment is worse - it's a lie, but this lie must be neutralized," said Archil Talakvadze.
