A couple of days ago, several Georgian media outlets published a letter about American agents operating in Georgia. For the majority of the society, this letter may not contain any great news. People who look more or less deeply into politics know very well how, since the end of the 90s, the American Embassy, with the forced consent of Shevardnadze, has had its own people in almost all state structures, how they created and equipped dozens of NGOs to organize the Rose Revolution and how the vertical of the Government was formed after the revolution, which was under the full control of the Embassy in 2004-12.

Accordingly, if in the 80s and 90s the main threat to Georgia's sovereignty was posed by the KGB and agents of the Russian special services, in the 2000s, along with the Russian agents, the American agents became a serious problem for our sovereignty. Moreover, if we look at the list of agents, we will notice that in many cases, specific politicians in the American special services have been directly transferred from the Russian special services. It will not be news for a large part of society that the main leaders and ideologues of the Government that came to power after the Rose Revolution held a special place among the American agents," reads the statement.

According to the MPs, the agents were quite solidly represented in the 2012 government coalition as well, which is why Americans put up with the Georgian Dream coming to power relatively easily.

“Today, most of these people are in the UNM and other radical opposition parties. Some of them are relatively low-ranking agents so far, but we can see that they are trying their best to get promoted.

Naturally, we could not be naive and we could not have the illusion that such a big country like the United States of America would operate in such a small country like Georgia without agents’ network. Here are two facts worth noting:
