The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili denies the information of the leader of the "Droa" party, Elene Khoshtaria, that the "Iran Air" company, which owns the plane that transported military cargo from Iran to Russia through Georgian airspace, is sanctioned by America.
Davitashvili claims that the company is not sanctioned and crossed the air space of Georgia in compliance with the law.
"This is another feeble attempt at disinformation. Unfortunately, we often hear unverified information aimed at harming the country's interests, nothing more. Of course, Georgia fully complies with international laws. The company that used the airspace of Georgia regularly flies among European countries, it is not on the list of sanctioned companies, and accordingly, our aviation authorities and navigation allowed it to fly over, following all the rules," said Davitashvili.
For information, yesterday it became known that an Iranian military plane crossed the airspace of Georgia. Boeing 747 crossed the territory of the country and landed in the Russian Federation. International news sources report that Iranian military equipment and fighters arrived in Moscow on this flight. Which directly means that Georgia opened the way for terrorist organizations against Ukraine.
