For the second time in a row, Zura Datunashvili is the world champion. Competing on behalf of Serbia, the Georgian wrestler defeated Sultanov, who competed on behalf of Denmark, in the final.
Let us remind you that Zura Datunashvili left Georgia after a conflict with the President of the Wrestling Federation, Gega Gegeshidze, and since then won the World Championship for the second time in a row on behalf of Serbia.
After the incident with Gegeshidze, the Georgian sportsman was forced to continue competing on behalf of another country. Datunashvili has been competing on behalf of Serbia since 2020.
For information, on December 6, 2020, Gegeshidze was elected to the position of the president of the Federation for the second four-year term.
