The former senior official of the State Security Service, Soso Gogashvili, publishes another letter from prison and confirms the fact of pressure on judge Besarion Alavidze. According to him, SSG implemented this after the request of Mikheil Chinchaladze, after Chinchaladze could not get approval from the judge about the desired decision in the case of Rustavi 2.
I confirm that Besarion Alavidze was pressured during the interview. This was done by us, the State Security Service, at the request of Mikheil Chinchaladze. When Mikheil Chinchaladze, after repeatedly pressuring Alavidze, failed to achieve the goal of getting his consent to issue a desirable for the “Dream” decision on the Rustavi 2 case, he engaged “heavy artillery’ in the case. An emergency meeting was held at Bidzina Ivanishvili's business center, where it was decided to involve us, the State Security Service, in the case. We received a corresponding instruction from Ivanishvili - in order to make Alavidze render the desired decision, we had to offer him a permanent job, a cash bonus and guarantee his immunity. All this had to be done by appealing to state interests, creating problems in case of refusal.
An official was found in the State Security Service who had known him for a long time and was on good terms with him. He was assigned to meet with Alavidze and convince him. The meeting took place several times, an audio recording of these meetings was made, the official brought the recording to me and I provided it to Chinchaladze.
Since Besarion Alavidze dared and started to expose, I urge him to tell all about those meetings.
I also appeal to the officer who carried out the order and who is still working in a high position in the State Security Service (according to my information) - My friend, this time take a real statesman position, tell the truth and expose this filthy system. I know you are a patriot and I know you want to serve Georgia, and not Putin's Dream.
Expose and be saved. - Writes Soso Gogashvili.
