Temporarily close the border for Russian citizens - "Strategy Aghmashenebeli" petition

The leader of "Strategy Aghmashenebeli", Giorgi Vashadze, demands the closing of the border for Russian citizens. According to Vashadze, the border should be opened only for those citizens of Georgia who want to return to the country from Russia:
"During the last few days, tens of thousands of Russian citizens enter Georgia every day, and there is a huge queue at the Georgian checkpoint. Therefore, the demand of the Strategy Agmashenebeli is to immediately close the border for Russian citizens. There should be only three exceptions: citizens of Georgia should have the right to return to their homeland, our compatriots who are Georgians in the Russian Federation should have the right to enter Georgia, and for humanitarian purposes if there is a special case," said Giorgi Vashadze.
