Minister of Defense Juansher Burchuladze says that mass entry of Russian citizens into Georgia does not create any danger. The Ministry does not see a threat of military aggression in this mobilization.
According to him, the control over the checkpoints has been tightened.
"Even before now, we had strict control at the border checkpoints, where the tourists were going, with what funds, etc. Today this control has been tightened with even more resources, and at this stage, we do not see any threats of any actions.
If you are asking me on an individual level whether all Russian citizens are conscientious or not, even before this situation there was this risk, the theoretical risk remained what it was. We do not see a threat of military aggression in this mobilization, so I do not see it that way at this stage," said Juansher Burchuladze.
