"Don't follow the occupier on this historic dustbin" | Elene Khoshtaria's special address to Abkhaz youth

 Elene Khoshtaria addressed young people living in temporarily occupied Abkhazia. She responded with an emergency statement. President Bzhania's decision, according to which the military conscription began in the occupied Abkhazia.

 Young people living in our occupied territory will be used as fodder in this criminal war in Ukraine. Accordingly, I consider myself obliged to appeal both to the international community and to our fellow citizens living in Abkhazia under the occupation regime:

First: the occupation regime is internationally legally responsible for the lives and health of the people who live there. We are not going to let them have this right with impunity, and they will definitely have to answer for violating the rights of our fellow citizens and encroaching on their lives.

Second: I want to appeal to the Abkhazians who are facing this danger today. Today, Russia is facing a catastrophic military, political, historical, moral collapse. Ukraine wins this war and Russia will be left on the political and historical dustbin. It will be a ruined country and under no circumstances should a part of our occupied country be included in these ruins. Therefore, we cannot control the situation there, but we appeal to you, make an individual decision and do not follow the occupier on this historical dustbin," says Khoshtaria.
