It is not excluded that on October 6, the Ukrainian court will make a decision to transfer Saakashvili to Ukraine, - Shalva Khachapuridze, the lawyer of the third president of Georgia, said while talking to journalists at the "Viva Med" clinic.

As he says, on October 6, at the trial held in the Ukrainian court, which is related to the fact of inhumane treatment against the third president, the lawyer submitted a motion that Mikheil Saakashvili be questioned as a witness and transferred to Ukraine.

According to Khachapuridze, the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine supported the request to interrogate Mikheil Saakashvili as a witness:

"A criminal case has been initiated in the Ukrainian court on the fact of inhumane treatment of Saakashvili. On October 6, a trial will be held, at which the lawyer submitted a motion to question Mikheil Saakashvili as a witness and to be transferred to Ukraine. The prosecutor's office supported this petition and we are sending to Ukraine the documentation that Saakashvili is in custody. It is possible that on October 6, the Ukrainian court will make a decision to transfer Saakashvili to Ukraine. It depends on the will of the Georgian authorities whether they will send Saakashvili to Ukraine for questioning or not, judging by international conventions, the authorities can do it," Shalva Khachapuridze said.
